Privacy Policy

BiLingual Dictionary keeps your data on your device. The app has no accounts of its own, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We run no servers.

Your words stay with you

Your notebook, profile, study history and settings live on your device, stored with Apple's SwiftData. They never reach us, and we cannot read them.

Dictionary lookups

The app ships with a built-in offline dictionary, so most searches never leave your phone. For words it lacks, the app queries free public dictionary services:

Wiktionary and Wiktionnaire (Wikimedia Foundation)
The Free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev)
The Korean Learners' Dictionary (National Institute of Korean Language)

Each request carries the word you searched and a generic app identification header. It never carries your name, your email or any identifier of yours.

Bug reports

When you send a bug report from the app, the developer receives your message, the photo you chose to attach, and basic technical context: app version, iOS version, device model and language. The report travels through the FormSubmit relay (formsubmit.co). The app sends nothing until you tap Send, and the report includes no personal identifier.

Signing in is optional. The app uses it once, to prefill your name on your own device, and sends nothing to us.

Notifications & backups

Your device schedules study reminders locally, and only if you turn them on. Backups you export are plain JSON files under your control.

Deleting your data

The app collects nothing, so there is nothing to request, correct or delete on our side. Deleting the app removes all of its data. Delete all data in Settings does the same without deleting the app.
